Some other highlights included: meeting Helen Merrick, Seanan McGuire (congrats on your Campbell award, Seanan!), Bec Kavanagh, Melinda Snodgrass, seeing Julicious, chatting to Lucy Sussex, Peter Ball shouting me a hot water and milk, and … room service.

Sorry so quiet but blogging has been impossible while at Aussiecon. Had a most gratifying time in so many ways. Highlights included seeing all my Orbit counterparts editorial, authors, publicists and sales. Cyberpunk panel where Charlie Stross saved my arse on a couple of curly questions. Orbiteers – though too brief. Talking with Kate Elliot. Panel with Melissa Snodgrass, Stan Robinson and Ian Irvine. Stan the gentleman.Twelfth Planet Press and the finished *GORGEOUS* end product that is the Glitter Rose collection (pre-orders will be sent out next week when Alisa gets home), which I will have pictures of when I can upload properly from home. Alisa is da man! Tehani’s amazing sales ability. The kaffeklatsch – you were all lovely. Seeing Jamie and meeting Gemma. Hearing that Parrish is being used in PHD research for a second time. Seeing Trent’s eyes glaze in excitement when he saw Robert Silverberg in the foyer.

There’s more but my brain needs to unfuzz to be able to share.
