Well, as you will have seen from the flurry of Twitter and FB posts, I had a terrific time at Writefest. My workshops were well attended, and more importantly, the attendees were enthusiastic and ready to participate (even in the toilet paper game!). I ate fantastic nasi goreng and pizza, had a beautiful ocean view and got to do lots of book talk. Sandy, Cherie, Di and all the committee were amazing, and I’d like to give a special shout out to Dean Anderson who both sponsors the event and is a member of the Bundy Writers group. You are a true patron of the Arts :)

I was also fortunate to have an event at the beautiful Bundy library, quite possibly the most impressive library I’ve ever stepped foot in.

So much has happened in the last few weeks and I’ve had very sporadic Internet. Apologies for having been neglectful of you.

Firstly, Swancon was fantastic; wonderful committee and really pleasant co-guests and fellow con-goers. I had the best fun! To top it off, I got to spend time with two of my favourite people, Ju and Kendra.

It was actually a great reward for meeting my deadlines on Stage Fright and Shine Light. I worked the whole time I was at Swancon and for some days after, to get things done. Then I got to have a weeks holiday watching my son play at the National Basketball Championships. What a thrill. Today, I am feeling very lucky for my life!

Now I’m back, ready to do my manuscript edits and plan the events I have upcoming at the Gold Coast, Bundaberg, Cairns, and Supanova Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane!

As you can see I’ve posted the cover for Night Creatures bk 3 – it’s amazing and I am still astounded by Jaroslaw Kubicki’s talent.

Soon I’ll be doing a post on Saving Grace, the TV series which I’ve found to be extremely moving.

Krista has also done a bunch of Graphic Novel reviews which we’ll be getting to soon. So expect to hear more from me! :)
